5 star!!! West Penn Tree Service came recommended by a family member. We had a medium size dead tree, some logs and some brush to be cleared. They came and went and cleaned everything up! We were supposed be on the schedule in 2 weeks but received a phone call that the service could be done within a week of the price quote. Excellent crew! After the storm Thursday night, we had three trees fall on our property and our house. The team came out the very next morning to assess the damage, helped get everything coordinated with our homeowners insurance, kept me updated and communicated throughout the entire process, and returned the following morning to complete the work. They made a difficult situation so much easier, and we truly appreciate their professionalism, responsiveness, and care. We highly recommend them!Posted on Google![]()

Save time and money by calling West Penn first if you need a tree removed. I had many different companies come out to quote the removal of a dying elm in my backyard. It was a huge tree and in a slightly tricky location--both inside my fence and very close to the house. The area between my house and my neighbors is also tight to fit heavy/large equipment (they have a shed and landscaping that reduces the space), and some companies just told me no because of this. West Penn had zero problems. They arrived before 8 a.m. and finished by 3 p.m. with both tree removal and stump grinding. They actually left my backyard cleaner than it was before they arrived. They were very careful with all of their machinery and used runners to ensure that they didn't tear up the grass/yard any more than necessary. I was worried that my dogs would be scared of all the noise, but the guys were remarkably quiet given the job. There were noises at times, but the dogs hardly noticed they were there (and I have very observant dogs who are not afraid to bark). The price was amazing. West Penn came in significantly less than the next two companies. I saved thousands of dollars. I also didn't need to wait very long--Ken came out and quoted me on 8/20, and the job was completed on 8/6. Definitely give these guys a call if you have tree removal, stump grinding, or tree pruning needs. I highly recommend them for quality, pricing, and fast scheduling.Posted on Google![]()

Frequently Asked Questions
How much should I expect to pay for tree removal?
Tree removal costs depend on size, location, and difficulty. Large maples near homes cost more than small trees in open areas. We provide free estimates with no hidden fees.
Do I need a permit to cut down a tree on my property in Irwin?
Irwin and surrounding areas may require permits for tree removal, especially for large or street trees. We handle all required permits as part of our service when necessary.
How can I save money on tree removal?
Winter removals often cost less when tree companies are less busy. Removing multiple trees at once can also reduce equipment setup costs. Ask about keeping firewood instead of hauling it away.
Does removing trees increase property value?
Removing hazardous or poorly placed trees often increases property value. Strategic tree removal improves safety, enhances views, and creates usable space. Our arborists can advise after an inspection.
